Aluminum 7050 is a heat treatable alloy that has very high mechanical properties and high fracture toughness. Popular with the aerospace industry, Aluminum 7050 offers good stress and corrosion cracking resistance and high strength at subzero temperatures.
Aluminium alloy 7050 plate is available in two tempers. T7651 combines the highest strength with good exfoliation corrosion resistance and average SCC resistance. T7451 provides better SCC resistance and excellent exfoliation resistance at slightly lower strength levels. Aircraft Materials can also supply 7050 in round bar with temper T74511.
