By contrast, downstream aluminum product fabrication saw a mild pullback. China produced 5.609 million metric tons of aluminum fabricated materials in August, dropping 0.3% year-on-year. The 1–8 month cumulative output of aluminum fabricated products was 43.285 million metric tons, down 1.6% year-on-year. Aluminum alloy output bucked this downward trend. August aluminum alloy output registered 1.622 million metric tons, a 2% year-on-year increase, while the January–August cumulative volume reached 12.354 million metric tons, growing 2.6% year-on-year.
